Installing the Motherboard on NCR 7709 R1.2

Installing the Kaby Lake Motherboard Upgrade kit on an NCR SelfServ™ 90 (7709) R1.2 unit involves the following procedures:

1. Open the NCR 7709 unit and disconnect all cables from the Motherboard. For more information, refer to Opening the R1.2 Kiosk.
2. Remove the following devices:
   1. Receipt Printer. For more information, refer to Removing the Receipt Printer
   2. Imaging Scanner. For more information, refer to Removing the Imaging Scanner
   3. Sensormatic Antenna, if present. For more information, refer to Removing the Sensormatic Antenna.
   4. PIN Pad. For more information, Depending on the PIN Pad, refer to either of the following procedures:
      • Removing the Ingenico IPP320/350 PIN Pad
      • Removing the Verifone VX805/820 PIN Pad
   5. Supervisor Switch. For more information, refer to Removing the Supervisor Switch.
   6. Remove the Coupon Sensors. For more information, refer to Removing the Coupon Sensors.
   7. Old Service Cover. For more information, refer to Removing the Service Cover.
   8. Display Head. For more information, refer to Removing the Display Head.
3. Install the following devices:
   1. New cables and the Camera Assembly. For more information, refer to Installing Camera and New Cables
   2. Kaby Lake Motherboard Upgrade kit. For more information, refer to Installing the Motherboard
   3. Printer Bracket. For more information, refer to Replacing the Printer Bracket.
   4. Power Supply Bracket. For more information, refer to Replacing the Power Supply Bracket.
   5. Upgrade Label. For more information, refer to Attaching the Upgrade Label.
   6. Display Head. For more information, refer to Installing the Display Head.
   7. Lock-Catch. For more information, refer to Replacing the Lock-Catch.
   8. New Service Cover. For more information, refer to Installing the New Service Cover
   9. Coupon Sensors. For more information, refer to Installing the Coupon Sensors.
   10. Supervisor Switch. For more information, refer to Installing the Supervisor Switch.
   11. PIN Pad. Depending on the PIN Pad, refer to either of the following procedures:
   • Installing the Ingenico IPP320/350 PIN Pad
   • Installing the Verifone VX805/820 PIN Pad
   12. Sensormatic Antenna, if present. For more information, refer to Installing the Sensormatic Antenna.
   13. Imaging Scanner. For more information, refer to Installing the Imager Scanner.

4. Connect all cables to the Motherboard. For more information, refer to Connecting Cables.
