Managing Loyalty Memberships
The POS application supports the following member loyalty features:
- Enrolling a Customer
- Looking up a customer
- Adding a member from customer lookup
- Correcting Member Information
- Member Dividends
- Offering a Store Credit Line
- Preventing Customer Fraud
Configurable features
The POS application can be configured with the following feature.
- Configure the POS application and the PIN pad to ask for the customer's consent to receive marketing communications when they provide their phone number and/or email address during transactions. When granting consent, customers can select which phone number or email address can receive marketing communications and their preferred language. Retailers may also enable the POS application to use the email address collected for digital receipts for marketing communications. Refer to the following options:
- Validation Definitions > Validation Scheme ID > MarketingConsentValidator. Add MarketingConsentValidator as a new record in the Validation Definitions parameter group.
- Information Field Definitions > Field ID. Set the Validator value for any of these records to MarketingConsentValidator depending on the retailer's specific marketing purpose.
- Customer Configuration > Marketing Consent Requires Language Preference
- Customer Configuration > Use Digital Receipt Info Form
- Information Form Definitions > Info Set Name > CustomerInfoEmail. Set the Validator value to MarketingConsentValidator and enable the Use Digital Receipt Info Form parameter to allow the POS application to collect the email address used for digital receipts and send marketing communications to that email address with consent.
