Transaction Search Criteria

The following table describes the Transaction Search Criteria options.

 Specifies whether the search attribute requires one or more other fields to perform a search.
Criteria Required Yes/No

Specifies whether the search attribute is required or not.

If set to Yes, it requires the Enable Display parameter for the same search attribute to also be set to Yes.
Data Type

One of the following values:

  • Alphanumeric
  • Date
  • Numeric
  • Phone Number
  • Text
 Specifies the data type used in the Transaction Search view.
Display Order A numeric value from one to 99 Specifies the order that the criteria is displayed on the POS.
Display Text An alphanumeric value from one to 23 characters. Specifies the descriptive text to be displayed to identify the lookup method.
Enable Display Yes/No Specifies whether or not to display the search attribute on the POS screen.
Is Masked Yes/No Specifies whether the field should display the information masked.
Note

The masking functionality works only with the following Custom Input Type options:

  • Any
  • Alpha
  • AlphaNumeric
  • Numeric
  • Text
Maximum Length A numeric value from zero to 99

Specifies the maximum character length of the user input.

If this parameter is left blank for Phone Number, the system will refer to Local Customization. Customer ID will refer to Customer Lookup Method, and Associate ID will refer to the Associate Mandatory Information group.
Minimum Length A numeric value from zero to 99 Specifies the minimum character length of the user input.
Transaction Search Criteria An alphanumeric value from one to 40 characters Specifies a unique name for a search attribute to be used when searching for transactions using the POS Transaction Search function.
