Support Functions
This section describes the AS POS application functions that require the credentials of an authorized associate, such as store support personnel. Use the support functions for the following tasks:
- Modifying terminal numbers
- Modifying store numbers
- Modifying transaction numbers
- Modifying Touch Types
- Changing the terminal mode
- Updating the POS Parameters
- Refreshing Data Files
- Updating the Business Date
Configurable features
The POS application can be configured with the following features.
- Enable the POS application to assign roles and determine which authorized associates can access the Terminal Setup, Terminal Modes, Reload Parameters, Load Local Data File, and Shutdown functions. Refer to the following option:
- Authorization Overrides > Authorization Roles
- Configure the POS application to hide default buttons on the Support Function screen. Refer to the following options:
