Checking for USB Support on the Host Computer
If the USB interface communications is required, the host computer must be equipped and setup properly. If it is not, install a USB interface card. With the required hardware in place, the Windows 98 (SR2), Windows 98 USB Hot Patch with ID: Q236934, NT4.0 (Service Pack 2 or higher) and Windows 2000 support plug-and-play USB with a built-in driver. On Windows NT systems, the NCR windows NT USB driver needs to be installed.
Note: Internet access is required to download the USB drivers from the NCR web site: https://www.ncr.com.
